What does it take to buy a gun?

  1. Longguns: You must live in Indiana or a contiguous (touching) state and abide by all of that state's laws.
  2. Handguns: You must be a resident of Indiana.
  3. You must present a valid state-issued picture ID (i.e. driver's license/identification card).
  4. You must complete the ATF Form 4473 which we will provide you.
  5. We will call the NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) for your background check.
  6. Once you have been approved, you may take possession of the firearm.

How long does the background check take?

The check can take as quck as 10 minutes, but can take as long as three business days (excluding weekends and holidays).  95% of all background checks are done by the end of the phone call.


What do I do if I am denied in the background check?


What about out-of-state state handgun transfers?

We will transfer to any valid FFL licensee.


What about non-contiguous state long gun transfers?

We will transfer to any valid FFL licensee.
